The Cymbria Quilt.
Cymbria is a small town in Prince Edward Island where you will find a pretty famous restaurant called The Blue Mussel Cafe. As I inquired about wait times, I noticed the name Cymbria, and immediately knew I needed to make a quilt with green as the main focus. As my daughter said, it is the root of Cymru, the Welsh word for Wales, where I have not yet visited, but imagine green fields and many sheep!
This patchwork quilt features over 20 unique prints, in ranges of green and lower volume designs, with a gorgeous green floral on the back. It is made with quality quilting cotton and batting, has been prewashed in cold water and dried on normal tumble dry cycle. It measures 50×56 inches, a throw size for the couch or your favorite reading chair. Pieced and quilted in my home studio, shipped from Nova Scotia, Canada.
